Postcard: Georgia, Batumi
Ink and watercolour painting of a street scene from Batumi’s Old Town, painted on a postcard from Batumi, sent from Israel.
The stamp used for the postcard is the joint Israel-Georgia stamp depicting the “Umm Leisun inscription”, which was found in a monastery in today’s Israel. It’s the oldest known example of Georgian writing.
