He wears black, and wears gloves, on the legs is a long skirt-like covering in brown colour. On the left of him is a knife in a sheath, and in the front is a red bag for donation. To the belt also attached a leash which goes to an elderly dog in front. The dog also wears a bamboo hat, and a black dress, on the back of the dog is a small bag, and there's also a small wallet to the left. On the bag is also a sheathed sword. Behind the pair is a person dragging a rickshaw, and behind the person is a lady in Japanese dress. The background are the street stones and the greens and pinks of the greenery behind. The painting is signed in Japanese and English on the left, also on the left is the artist's stamp

The painting is photographed on top of the catalogue of Gekko-so art shop, looking like an old newspaper. Below the painting is a sheet of paper with hand-written description of the painting in English, Japanese, Arabic and Hebrew. To the right of the description is the flag of Japan and the flag of Kyoto City.
