Clock: Tsuruga Port Train Station in Fukui, Japan
Tsuruga Port Train Station
תחנת הרכבת נמל צורוגה
敦賀港駅、敦賀市、福井県
Clock painting, an ink and watercolour on paper painting (24×16 cm.) with a clock mechanism, depicting the disused historic Tsuruga Port Train Station in Tsuruga, Fukui prefecture of Japan.
The port is unofficially called “Port of Humanity” (人道の港) for it was the place of landing for Jewish refugees during WWII and also the place of landing for Polish orphans during Russian civil war. This name was used by the nearby museum about the events, I happened to visit.
