Postcard: Nevsky Avenue, St. Petersburg

This postcard shows an overview of Nevsky Avenue with Leningrad Hero City Obelisk at Vosstaniya Square in the distance, seen from a building alongside the street, drawn in ink and watercolour. Dip pen was used for the lines, which scratched the paper, resulting in thick lines as the ink spread out. The postcard is a reprint of a late-19th or early-20th century postcard with a photo of the Imperial Academy of the Arts.
