The Peacock Clock automaton dated 1766-1772 was designed by James Cox, later imported from Britain to Russia disassembled then and re-assembled, without any documentation, by Ivan Kulibin. The Peacock automaton is still operational, located at Hermitage museum (Winter Palace) in St. Petersburg.
